SWS mission is to ensure every aspiring professional has a clear, managed path to their chosen career field.

Social Welfare Service (SWS) is a registered non-profit,
non-governmental organization founded in 2006 and located
in Kathmandu, Nepal.

For nearly two decades, we have worked at the intersection of
education, community development, and human resource building —
with one enduring belief: that practical experience is not a
privilege. It is a right.

We are not a recruitment agency. We are not a training centre.
We are a bridge — connecting motivated students from every
academic background with real organizations doing real work
across Nepal's hospitals, government offices, NGOs, schools,
financial institutions, and private sector.

Registered at the District Administration Office, Kathmandu
(Regd. No: 351-2082/083/19 | TAX ID: 602443657), SWS operates
nine active programme streams — delivering structured internships,
community awareness, agricultural support, digital innovation,
and human values programmes across all 7 provinces of Nepal.

To bridge ambition and opportunity by providing structured internship experiences and community welfare support that develop skilled, service-oriented leaders and improve lives in rural and remote communities across Nepal.

Mission

To bridge the gap between academic education and real-world practice — connecting Nepal's students with structured internships that build careers, serve communities, and create lasting change.

An equitable Nepal where learning, professional development, and community service go hand in hand, empowering every individual to reach their full potential.

Vision

SWS Nepal envisions a Nepal where every individual-regardless of background or field-has equal opportunity to learn, grow, and build a meaningful career while serving their communities.

At Social Welfare Service, we believe one motivated student
in the right community can change everything.

We make a difference by closing the gap between Nepal's
classrooms and its communities — placing trained, supervised
interns where they are needed most, and measuring the real
impact they create.

Every internship placement is a ripple. Every community
session is a wave. Together, they are building a Nepal where
education and action are no longer separate.

We do not just list roles; we manage the entire process from training and orientation to final certification.

Since 2006, SWS has reached 22+ districts across Nepal —
through internship placements, community awareness programmes,
agricultural support, digital literacy drives, and human values
workshops.

Our interns don't just observe. They lead sessions, conduct
research, create content, and deliver services that communities
remember long after the placement ends.

This is how Social Welfare Service makes a difference —
one student, one community, one sprint at a time.

SWS Intern Working with Community — Social Welfare Service Nepal
To connect motivated youth with meaningful internships and deliver community welfare services that foster sustainable development and equal opportunity across Nepal

Our main goal is to create a Nepal where no student graduates
without practical experience, and no community goes without
the support of educated, motivated young professionals.

We achieve this through five core commitments:

1. BRIDGE THE GAP — Connect every student with a real
internship placement aligned to their field of study.

2. BUILD CAPACITY — Equip interns with the professional
skills Nepal's employers and communities actually need.

3. SERVE COMMUNITIES — Deploy interns to deliver meaningful
welfare services across all 7 provinces.

4. SUSTAIN PARTNERSHIPS — Build lasting MOU-based
relationships with academic and host institutions.

5. MEASURE IMPACT — Track every outcome, publish every
result, and continuously improve the programme.
